Flying a CEO from Germany to a meeting in Italy
In June 2022, we were asked to help fly the CEO of a German software company to an urgent business meeting in Italy before bringing him back home in time for a family wedding. With no airport slots available for the return flight and limited flexibility due to the client’s tight schedule, we needed to think outside the box to pull off this tricky charter.
Our Solution
Route: Frankfurt > Pisa > Genoa > Frankfurt
Aircraft: Cessna Citation CJ2
We found a Cessna Citation CJ2 with space for the group of five passengers for the outbound flight from Frankfurt to Pisa, but high demand meant both Pisa Airport and nearby Florence Airport were full for the return leg of the charter.
Thinking outside the box, our experienced team suggested splitting the trip into two bookings and transferring the group to Genoa Airport, where we could charter another CJ2 through an operator we have a strong relationship with.
