Last month Macmillan Cancer Support visited Air Charter Service’s offices in London to personally thank the staff who, over the past few years, have raised £28,477 for the leading charity.
Emma Heley, the Senior Fundraising Manager at Macmillan, commented: “Thank you to everyone at ACS for helping to raise this incredible amount – it will pay for a nurse for 1,000 hours, helping people living with cancer and their families to receive essential medical, practical and emotional support.”
Tina Leach, Head of ACS’s Charity Committee, said: “We really appreciate a personal thank you for our charity work – Macmillan is a cause that is close to a lot of people’s hearts here and it is great to know more about what our money is going towards.”
The visit was planned to coincide with a Macmillan Coffee Morning at ACS’s headquarters that same day, where bakers at the company raised more than £400 in a cake sale.
Air Charter Service’s London office currently supports three other charitable organisations. The international organisation, Save the Children, the local charity Momentum, and finally our long-term commitment to the Dysart School, which is opposite ACS’s London HQ and caters for pupils with severe learning disabilities.
